MassEducation is another dimension of 2017's acclaimed St Vincent album, MASSEDUCTION. Recorded live in the studio over two nights, MassEducation lays bare the exquisite songcraft of its other half. Performed entirely by Annie Clark on vocals and Thomas Bartlett on the piano, these songs take on a new identity with this stripped down version. 

 

Because this album feels more intimate and emotionally striking, we wanted sensual visuals to describe the sound. Photo by Pamela Neal.

The type treatment I created feels classical in nature. It compliments and contrasts the beautiful grainy image. It is gold foiled and embossed, over an overall matte uv finish. This provides an elegant tactile experience.
